This Privacy Policy describes how Atypical (ABN 24 716 351 826), operating as Sojournii ('we', 'us', or 'our'), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through the Sojournii platform ('Platform').
We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 From Operators
When Operators register for the Platform, we collect:
- Business name and contact details
- ABN or business registration number
- Name and email address of account holders
- Payment information for subscription processing
1.2 From Bookers
When Bookers make bookings through the Platform, Operators may collect (through our Platform):
- Name and contact details (email, phone)
- Any additional information required by the Operator (which may include health information, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, emergency contacts, or other information relevant to the booking)
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect:
- Device and browser information
- IP address and approximate location
- Usage data and interactions with the Platform
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)
2. How We Use Information
2.1 Platform Operation
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
- Process Operator subscriptions and payments
- Facilitate bookings between Operators and Bookers
- Send transactional communications (booking confirmations, account notifications)
- Provide customer support
2.2 Marketing
With your consent, we may send marketing communications about our services. You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us.
2.3 Analytics and Improvement
We use analytics services to understand how the Platform is used and to improve our services.
4. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including:
- Standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities
- Reliance on service providers' certifications and compliance frameworks

5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. For Operators who cancel their subscription, we retain data for 6 months following termination. For Bookers, retention periods depend on the Operator's requirements and applicable legal obligations.
7. Your Rights
7.1 All Users
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive your information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
7.2 Australian Users
Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to access and correct your personal information. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the APPs.
7.3 EU/UK Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to erasure, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases for processing include contract performance, legitimate interests, and consent.

8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including:

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 18. Operators must set and enforce their own age requirements for Bookers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If we learn we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
10. Operator Responsibilities
Operators who collect personal information through the Platform are independent data controllers (or equivalent under applicable law) for that information. Operators are responsible for complying with all applicable privacy laws, including providing their own privacy notices to Bookers, obtaining necessary consents, and responding to data subject requests relating to information they control.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on the Platform and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
